Affirmations

 My grant proposal will be for a women's dental office. I want to stay focused in my educational journey to reach my goals. I want to draft a flawless proposal to be able to support a community of women and help them achieve their dental goals. 

Basic Idea

My long-term professional goal is to establish a women-focused dental office that promotes both oral health and a positive patient experience in a safe, inclusive environment. My academic experience and professional documents have helped show my purpose within the dental field, not only to provide quality care, but to advocate for women who often feel overlooked or uncomfortable in traditional healthcare settings. Receiving a grant for this office would help me achieve my goal.  Many women have experienced dismissive or harmful interactions with providers. Others feel anxiety when seen by male practitioners or in spaces that do not account for trauma related to harassment or sexual violence. These realities contribute to delayed care, avoidance of routine checkups, and long-term health consequences. Affirmations

 Affirmations I am a positive person. I keep a good attitude towards obstacles. I am focused and always have a plan for my life. I listen to others' problems and concerns. I am an honest and reliable person who tries to make sure everyone around me knows I am being genuine. I have a good heart, and no matter what happens, I know that I did my best and made the necessary sacrifices to try to reach my goals.

Introduction and Reflection

  What is the relationship between writing, rhetoric, and your career? How will professional writing help you in your academic and professional endeavors? Refer to at least two of the readings from our first week as you craft your response. As an aspiring dentist, professional writing and rhetoric will be critical to my career.  Constant charting, patient communication, and various business emails will require me to learn to communicate efficiently in formal settings. Even while I am still in school, being able to write a friendly yet professional email to professors, classmates, and others will help me build better connections that I can utilize later on.  After reading “The Beginner's Guide to Professional Communication”, I learned some important ideas concerning how to write a proper email and common mistakes people make.
